Michele is a founding partner of Slochowsky & Slochowsky, LLP.

She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Richmond in 1986, graduating on law review and with honors. Michele has well earned her reputation as a sharp and zealous litigator, and she is well known as such by colleagues and Judges at the various courthouses.

Michele has completed countless trials on nonpayment and holdover proceedings as well as those involving intricate issues of the Rent Stabilization Law, overcharge allegations, and warranty of habitability claims. She is called upon to conduct due diligence by investors and managers seeking to acquire rent-stabilized and free market properties, to perform analyses of the current legal rent and regulatory status, ­and to report on contingent liabilities for overcharges and/or other liabilities so that the client can assess the viability of their proposed acquisition.

Michele likewise defends clients in areas of Human Rights Discrimination allegations, as well as other discrimination allegations as incident to our clients’ day-to-day operations of their various properties.

Additionally, Michele has lectured on various landlord-tenant issues at the Brooklyn Bar Association and professional events.

Her standard of excellence and rate of success have earned her the exemplary reputation she maintains in the legal community.

William is a founder of Slochowsky & Slochowsky, LLP and serves as managing partner of the firm. He earned his JD degree from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg School of Law in June of 1983. He was admitted to practice in the Second Judicial Department in September 1984.

Since that time, William has conducted, negotiated, and settled literally thousands of nonpayment and holdover proceedings, trials, and settlements. He handles numerous HPD proceedings, defending owners and managers in allegations concerning heat and hot water, harassment, and general code violation issues.

William handles numerous cases in Supreme Court matters, including but not limited to ejectment proceedings, injunctive relief applications, DHCR overcharge claim defenses, as well as general civil litigation.

William has earned his reputation as a zealous advocate and seasoned negotiator by his colleagues and the firm’s clients, having achieved many favorable results on their behalf.
